I love swaps but I’ve never really hosted a real swap so here goes…

Some of you may have seen this link over at whipup.net or the article in this month’s issue of "cloth, paper, scissors" on making fabric charms. It is a bit of sewing, a bit of jewellry making and a lot of fun. The photo above is from this blog where you will find oodles of inspiration.
The swap will be for 5 fabric charms. Each participant will send me 5 fabric charms and in return they will receive 5 different charms plus a little surprise gift from me. This will be enough charms for you to make one simple bracelet.
- The deadline for sign ups for the swap will be May 31st.
- The deadline for getting the swap items to me will be June 30th.
- I will swap the goodies and mail them to you the following week following our annual Canada Day festivities.
A few other notes:
- This swap is open to all ages, so if you have a young sewer in the house, they are welcome to join in. If we have enough junior swappers, we’ll put them in their own group.
- No sewing machine? No problem, hand sewing is fine.
- Remember to include an eyelet and jump ring on your charm or some other way to attach it to a bracelet.
- Let your friends and family know about the swap.
- A detailed email of list "guidelines" will follow after the signup deadline.
